Basically the main thing I want is to clear 35's. I've seen kits with new front coils or coil spacers, like for a leveling kit but I'm not sure which is better. Pro's and con's to taller coils or spacers? Lemme know what you have and how it works for ya!

Had spacers on my Jeep, no real draw back other than your shocks lose some travel. Trying to remember, a buddy had 35s on his 2gen, I believe he had a 2" body lift...3" would clear no problem though.

I put a 3" level kit and some bilstein 5100's on my truck and it fits 35's fine, but my truck sat pretty high from the factory. Still rides and drives fine Ive had no issues.

I have a 2.5" leveling kit on my off road, and have room for 35s, but sadly don't have them yet

I have a 5" Tuff Country EZ-Ride lift on my truck with 35"s. The lift itslef is nice, the truck rides fairly smooth for bein lifted and all. As for tire clearance, they only rub if i hit a bump with the wheel turned but its nothing major. I love it how it is though!

A level will clear 35's but you may have issue with rubbing on the control arm. but you may want to look at rims too to clear the tires.

I ran a 3" BL and 3 " lift on my 96 with 35's and had plenty of room.
I don't know how high you want to go but you will probably need backspaced rims, it's been a while since I've been under a second gen. I'll try to find a pic

If you go with anything wider than a 10.5" wide tire on the factory wheels, you'll rub your upper control arm before you hit full lock either way.
IMO, 35's look good on a leveled 2nd gen. They're big enough that people notice but don't loon stuffed either
