...is probably a bad idea.
I intend to put 33s on my truck after i level it out and put on new shocks. Im pretty sure im going to have to regear, though, i suppose thats alright...but im having trouble reading gear ratio to tire size charts. So, what gears should i be running with 33s? Ive heard 4.10, 4.56, some say keep the 3.54... i don't know. I want whatever is going to have the truck perform like mostly stock, keep around the gas milage i have (butt dyno says somewhere between 10-13 MPG) and still perform alright offroad. It'll be around 95% daily driving, 5% offroading. Mostly light trails, probably some mud.
Truck is a 1997 Ram 2500, by the way. Im going to go out and try and read the diff tag right now, but last time i checked, it was pretty rusted.
EDIT: I bring good news...I think. Looked up how to read Dana Axles, it would appear my front axle is a Dana 44. But theres a little tag on the diff cover, and this is what it reads:
52098838 (4, A, Triangle)C
4.10 61072 (7, Z)-2
Whats in parenthesis is what the digit could potentiality be, because i can't read it. But it does say 4.10. I would imagine that means i have 4.10s in the front. Now that i know that, is it likely that i also have 4.10s in the rear also?
Edit 2: judging by this picture, I'd say my rear is a Dana 60. http://imgur.com/5Lsk1dL
