as the thread title suggests thats what I'm interested in doing. can't find too much info about it online or anyone i talk to. just curious to see if anyone here has any info if its even possible? thanks

It's fully possible, mostly a matter of finding all the parts from a manual truck to do the swap. Shoot, if you can find a parts truck that still has a working NV4500 in it that would be ideal.

Well I can get my hands on a tranny and all the trimmings no problem. My question, which I probably should've posed in the op, is more about mating everything together. I called advanced adapters and they couldn't help me cause it's not a diesel.

Its all a bolt in job, to make things easy get a gas nv4500 out of a v8 2500 or 3500. Then its just a swap job.

Edit: The dsl bellhousing and the input shaft on the dsl nv4500 do not work with the gas motor, you can change the bellhousing and the input shaft over to the gas version if you like.
