I'm currently on my 3rd 46re in my 1997 5.9 magnum 1500 and it's already slipping.. and I'm getting tired of droping and swaping transmission.. Im looking into doing a manual transmission swap. My truck never goes in the mud, and I'm not trying to go fast in it. The truck is being used to get me to and from work and maybe a few car shows. Okay now I understaind that I would be choosing between a nv3500 and a nv4500 witch one would be best for my situation.
I also realize I need an "external ballenced flywheel" and the petal assembly. I found thoes on eBay for a decent price. now I'm having trouble finding a wire harness and a Pcm? I'm trying to avoid having to buy a parts truck because I don't have the room for it. what else would I need and were would I be able to find it? Also would the transfercase from the 46re fit on the nv3500? all help is appreciated!
