Hi, I have a broken Bolt and stud in my 5.9 cylinder head on the driver's side. Whats the best way to remove them? Thanks a head of time!

There are a bunch of ways to remove them. But first i'd reference a pretty good video from a guy who goes by AVE on youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnF9_LotHCU -dinking around with WD-40, or other rust penetrators

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqZYgReuywM -Chemical removal

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uwz7BhAWZE -has some methods useful for bolts

He covers some tried and true methods, as well as plays around with some 'home remedies'.

I think he covers it briefly, but if its sticking proud of the surface by an inch or so, you can weld a nut to it and try to back it out that way. If its flush or below the surface, this video is going to be your best bet.

Which stud is it? Personally i see this as the perfect time to upgrade both the bolts/studs and the exhaust itself. Header swap! Lol

Or if you're just looking for simple repair you can follow the links above. One method i really like is while the head/manifold is still hot use "freeze off" on the just the stud. Shrinks it away from the expanded hot. That and these sockets make most bolts easy.
