Well, driving home just about 20 minutes ago, my truck starts smoking. Stop and pop the hood and the damn radiator is spilling coolent all over the place. Got home and put water in it and got it cooled down. I did notice that the radiator did have a tiny leak, so I guess it leaked it all out and steamed the rest away. So now I'm gonna have to pull it out and take it to a shop in town. Hope they can get it fixed.

Here's what it looked like.....

Well, good news... the truck is running fine! We got some antifreeze to put back in it so that should be alright. The problem is just a small leak somewhere on the radiator, but I think that it'll be fine, as long as I check the coolant level more often. Isn't there something they make that you can put in with the coolant that will seal off the leak?

Yea but I have heard mixed reviews on the stuff. Some say it will eat your gaskets others say it will clog your pump. So im not sure what to believe. My fix would be a good old fashioned pull the rad and patch with jb weld. Unless you know where it is and can get to it then leave it in the truck and patch it.

Ok to tell you the truth, I think I'm gonna leave it alone and like I said just check the coolant level alot more often then normal. It's a small leak but I guess it all leaked out to empty. So thankfully, it's seems to be ok. Just keep it full with anti-freeze

I wouldn't put any kind of stop-leak in there. I've seen it completely stop up heater cores and clog water pumps. It might work for a little while, but you'd be just as well off keeping a jug of antifreeze close by.
