Adding AUX to factory radio

now can anyone simplify this for me? I would love to do this with only a single aux not double like the guy says..

I've looked into doing this mod and from what I understand from other sources, it involves actually splicing into speaker outputs, eliminating any control from the radio. Very similar to those auxiliary y's that do the same thing. Since I'm not so good at circuit boards, I looked into aftermarket options for adding an auxiliary port, and I came across a dorman product that remanufactures the radios with aux ports.
