have any of you guys seen anybody put speakers on their roof? like in the back corners up above or around the overhead console or anything? i have 2 12in subs and they kind of drown out music quality. ill list out my whole setup.

i have TWO rockford fosgate punch p2 subs with amp. (not sure about specs on amp it came with the truck.)

FOUR kenwood speakers, 1 in each door, and one behind each door in the panel

TWO kenwood tweeters

and a really old kenwood headunit that will soon be replaced

just looking to get some lyric quality

That sounds cool. Have you tried to mount them on the A pillars. I have the storage system behind the seats if anything you could fabricate mounts to hang over the rear glass. Now me I'm a redneck I would put a shelf above my window and wedge my subs in a box to stick to the roof, if I was in your position.

im thinking speaker boxes on the dash or above the seats on the rear corners of the roof. maybe 2 6in speakers in either of those positions.

Nice, me I wouldn't put speakers in the dash cause the cheap plastic.

Sounds like your system needs tuning more than you need misplace speakers.
You shouldn't be able to tell where your subwoofers are, bass is largely omni-directional.

A nice set of components, mid-ranges in the door and tweeters on the sail panels or A-pillar should sound great. Rear fill in a reg-cab is ... personal preference. I'd never have it .
