Does a 4.88 fit in a 9.25? Im on the hunt to finally gear my axles. and seeing as how im running wide 37" swampers, id prefer a higher gear than 4.10's

Most of them don't.

With this being said, im looking for higher than 4.10. So me spending a 1000+ in my area because dana 60/70/80's are like gold here. After that purchase id have to spend another 650-800 on gears. Assuming im installing. versus 650-800 just buying a higher gear set for current axles.

I understand there stronger and all but after buying all the **** lately, and the new swampers. My bank account isnt exactly as high as i would like ill say.

P.s. not trying to sound like an a$$

I had some good money in my 44 & 9.25, 4.56 gears Detroit lockers in both and had lots of spare parts for them, but changing ball-joints and hub bearings on a yearly bases was getting old and costing us $$$. So we found a set of 60's did the upgrade and cannot be happer with it, already saving us cash on parts, and the better braking is a big plus in my op.

Save and do it once, I say don't spend a dime on those diff's. I still need to do a gear change on my 60's but not until I pick the new tires for it.
