Well I've recently noticed that sometimes at idle, generally when the engine is warm, it will randomly rev on its own. Up to about 1,250 - 1,500. Also I notice it will do that after I slightly touch the throttle. Is this the IAC going out ? I just replaced the MAP sensor. I'm honestly drawing a blank, no idea on this

When the TPS is going bad it typically idles down/stutters rather than idles up. At least that has been my experience. The IAC flaking out could produce "choke" scenario I think.

Whats really confused me is I haven't noticed any other symptoms or problems. It's pretty strange. And I can't always duplicate the problem

I just had this exact problem with my 01 5.9. Replaced the IAC and haven't had any further issues

I guess it's a shame I took back that brand new IAC the other day. I will look into getting another
