Another CEL

Truck is still under warranty, can't get it into the dealer for 2 weeks.
18k miles

EVIC read DEF system service required, or words to that effect.

Anyone know what my issue is?
My biggest concern is I have to drive it to work all next week, hoping it doesn't go into limp mode.

Dealer is still refusing to help me out, FRUSTRATION!!

Evic now says that the truck will go into a 5 mph limp mode in 200 miles....... :flipthebird:

you won't have a choice but to have that serviced. Is it you that can't get to the dealer or the dealer who can't get to you?

I went over everyone's head to the service manager, and was seen as soon as I could get the truck there.
Unfortunately I had attempted to clear the code with a code reader from a auto parts store, so when they checked it there where no stored codes.
I find this totally baffling, I figured the code would be stored in the trucks memory, but apparently not.
The dealer re-cleared the system and the count down in the evic also went away.
I have continued to drive the truck all week, the code has not reactivated.
It must have been a intermittent issue, time will tell.

Well, at least you have a decent contact now if it comes back. Hopefully it was just a fluke thing.
