Hey guys,

I just bought me a Ram again after a few years of cars. But. As you can see someone thought the truck needed to look like a duck hunter as well. With the very detailed ducks and the FAKE mud. Yes. It's painted on. Only on the passenger side though. I'm pretty sure it's spray paint. So. My question is would something like Goo Gone take it off or is it a bit harder than that? Any help is much appreciated!

No, if it's paint, it will take something more than GooGone.

I'd consult a body shop on this one. If it's paint then it will take more than a chemical strip (which could also remove the clear coat under it) and it may require a light sanding to remove.

Okay well after I posted that I went and just tried to GooGone to see what would happen. My guess is that it was crappily painted and not prepped correctly cause about five minutes after I put that on I could take a rag and buff it off. So thanks for your fast reply and input but I guess this works lol! Sorry to waste your time!

Glad you got it off. I can't believe someone painted mud on there. I'd have laughed my ass off at him.

The worst case scenario would have been to wetsand/reseal IMO.

Glad it was easy for you!

Haha I had the same reaction as all of you guys! The dealer actually gave me a couple hundred bucks off plus two free tanks of gas since I did the work. Going back today to get my complimentary detail done. Feels good to be back in a Ram!!!
