The only issue might be getting the plow bracket to clear the winch. Some custom fab work may be needed to make an appropriate bracket.

The only other issue would be the loss in approach angle with the mounting bracket in place and the softer spring rates on the PW vs the standard 2500. I think as long as you aren't exceeding the GAWR you should be fine.

I wasn't even thinking about the winch up front. I was worried about the softer spring rate not being able to handle the extra weight from the plow. I'm thinking that this is a no go and I'm going to go with a regular tradesman or and slt.

I remember reading somewhere the PW should not be run with a plow. Maybe the owners manual supplement for the PW, I don't remember.

i was think about ordering a tradesman pw and just order some springs for a regular 2500 hd and swapping them over. yes ill lose the flexyness but don't really need the flex for using it as a plow and work truck. looking for opinions please

Sounds like an interesting idea. Stock 2500 HD springs (progressive) should lower the PW by 2" and give you a better towing capability too. If anyone has swapped out their linear springs for progressive ones, they may be able to shine some light on this subject to see if it does actually work right.
Then if one desires the full ability of their PW, just switch back to the stock linear springs.

plowing

I have plowed with my 2012 for 3 years, no issues.
8'6" fisher Xtreme V. Push plates needed to be modified a bit by dealer.
Also use a 1.5 yard poly sander in back.

Compared with my 04 3/4 ton it squats a little more in the front. I put a 1" daystar leveler in the front. Unloaded it sits pretty level with the rear slightly higher. With the plow and the empty sander in the back she sits level with the plow on the ground. That truck in the picture was totaled and dont have any pictures with out sander just the plow on.
Just picked up this '16 pw and plowed for the first time yesterday. So far no issues. Tried it out without the sander first and she did squat but nothing really extreme. Before I put stuff away for winter I'll try to remember to take picture of just the plow on with no sander.
I may not use the sander alot but with the added weight she plows like a tank.

went out and did some measuring. plow on the ground top of wheel well was 40 1/2" and axle to bump stop was 2 1/2". With plow raised wheel well was 38 3/4" and bump stop was 3/4". So the truck drops 1 3/4".
This summer i will install a 1" spacer in the front which will give me a little more play when the plow is raised and make the truck a little more level all year. Don't want to go any higher because I notice that the rear of the truck travels more when weight is added in bed or towing a heavy trailer.

That's not to bad and if I put airbags in the front that would help to. Love the color of the truck. Any mods to the push plates for the new truck?

They have to grind off a piece of bracing so the push plates can slide up between the frame and the winch. They also remove the bracing for the tow rings which i believe they have to on all the dodges.

the only down side is the plow rigging sticking down the rest of the year. But, after spending all that money on a truck it has to make me some money. It also tows a 9500# chipper with out a problems and has gotten me out of back yards with out problems. So far the only use the winch has gotten is to pull over leaning trees. As for warranty issues, before i bought the first one and this one I let the dealer know I will be plowing snow commercially. At that time I was told dodge was the only manufacture that warrantied their tucks with plows. Not sure on that because I have never tried to buy a Ford or Chevy.
