Nice write up. I have been thinking about the tow hooks for my truck. This makes me feel like it wont be as hard as I thought. Thanks for sharing!
So I guess I'm one of those unlucky guys and bought used hooks off CL and I don't have the bracket for the 2 bolts towards the front of truck. Does the dealer not sell that part separate?
Unfortunately, i think you are out of luck. Maybe contact the guy you bought them from on CL and ask him for them. They do nothing for him, and everything for you. If that doesnt pan out, call the dealer. I do not believe they sell them but maybe they have an old used set, or check a scrap yard for some intact brackets (but thats a stretch).
These instructions were excellent! Thank you. I just installed the tow hooks and new bezels on my 2017 1500 Crew Cab Laramie. On mine the old bezels slid out towards the center of the bumper very easily. I didn't have to loosen that extra nut. The hardest part of the whole project was sliding under the truck
ahhhh comon where are the images at? I was thinking of buying some hooks.. wanted to see what the install looked like

I just refreshed the page and all seem to be working on my end.
yes now it works.. thanks
Yup! not sure what happened there but I see it occasionally on this site. Install is super easy and sounds more intimidating than it is, DO IT! lol
well all the pics work right up to finish with the cutout.. none of the actual tow hook pic show for me.. weird
up that did it.. lol
