Bobo, What trim level is your truck? Are you using the mirror you bought from me? If so the mirror button on the radio works it? And they looked like lights to me, damned old age.
I think I may have finally got that dam heated leather wheel.

I almost had to put my reading glasses on to be sure lol

How do you know if you have the heated wheel? I've purchased / put a leather wheel on my express 6 months after I got it...

cptwing - my truck is an express, the mirror soft button showed up with both the factory mirror with the backup cam screen as well as the mirror i purchased from you....the smart beam doesnt work of course, probably needs a sales code flash.

nyciti - the heated steering wheel has two sets of wires coming from the bottom of the steering wheel, the left spoke on the bottom.

I just bought one do you think it's possible to get it to work?
How did you determine it was bad? Continuity check? Resistance check?

the wires are cut? so i believe i have read on a forum somewhere of soemone working on getting the heated wheel working. i believe the clockspring and a harness on the steering column have to be changed out. you need the button panel with the heated wheel...AND the heated seat module + wiring under the driver seat...

I'm not sure you have to get the seat stuff to get the wheel to work but it does require a sales code flash.

yes you do need the heated seat module that goes under the seat. i can try to screenshot the wiring diagram on prodemand but the wheel does get controlled by the module under the seat.

I don't know for sure since I just opened one up from OEM to see what was inside but that looks correct to me.

Can you tell if it's a 1/4 watt or 1/2 watt resistor? I have both and am about ready to make one. Probably gonna go with the 1/2 to be safe.

I don't know. Sorry I was able to tell what resistance it was but not the wattage.

Resistor wattage is usually dictated by size. Smallest being 1/8 watt, then 1/4, 1/2, 1 and 2 watt being pretty large in size.

Has anyone had any problems with playing CD's?

My truck came with the RA2 and CD player under the seat. I rarely play CDs anymore and am ashamed to say I never tested the CD player with the RA2.

Today I tried a CD and the tracks came up on the screen, the progress bar showed the song was playing, but there was no sound. I tried multiple CDs.

Once I get my harness I will use the factory bezel to reset the radio, and will plug the RA2 back in temporarily to test the CD player itself. I'm also running old RA4 firmware (so I'll update that as well).

Has anyone else had any problems with CDs?
