Information on premium cluster upgrade

To my knowledge you will need a 15 -16 cluster for the tire pressures monitoring system to display . Lots of guys have reported installing a 13 & or a 14 cluster in their 15 & 16 Ram's the TPMS did not work just dashes .

I do believe everything else works though ....maybe someone else will chime in that has personal info on this .

I know this : my 14 Ram build date of September 2013 works 100% with a 14 & a 16 premium cluster .

When you change the cluster you won't stop looking at it when your driving. It's awesome knowing we can do this and we didn't spend 50-60 thousand on your truck

I plan to add a step by step how to change the lens & mask assy with lots of pictures .
If there's room I'll be adding it to my OP , if not I'll do it at whatever post this thread is at here .
I'll likely be posting another link ( to here ) over on the cluster upgrade thread as well .

Other then the FS threads here, is there a source for these? Also whats the average cost on the cluster themselves and having them hours / miles changed on them? This is one of the nicest upgrades we can do to our non-fancy trucks lol

Hey RLK will the lens from a standard speedo work on the premium cluster??? I found a cluster locally but the lens is scratched up....

I'd say , no .

I'll have to look more closely, but the lense and the mask aka gauge accent rings are one assembly ; therefore the guage placement would have to be exact . I'm pretty sure they are not the same .
I will verify this next week when I complete my swap with the premium cluster and install the Rebel lens and Mask on it , I'll compare to my 3" cluster mask and post that info up as I plan to post up a short ( how to ) on the lense and mask change .

It will not. You'll need a lens from a cluster with the 7" TFT.

Lots of folks get a used premium cluster from carparts.com , a local salvage yard from a crash & LKQ .
I've seen premium clusters as cheep as $95 and as much as $500 ish ....kinda the luck of the draw , I'd say the average price is 300 + - a bit .

The cost of having the hours & mileage is $175

I recommend doing some reading on the Premium cluster Upgrade Thread here Sir .

Anybody know part number on the ignition ring mine is silver right now and would like a red rebel one. I'm guessing it just pops off?

The Rebel has the same one. It isn't red.
