I spend pretty much as much time as I can in my home garage. I've got my gym in there as well as all the essentials, hot and cold water, WiFi, cable, flat screen, surround sound. You know, the bare essentials. Haha. I don't do any work in this shop except on my motorcycles. I went As large as I could without my wife kicking me out. 24x40, scissor trusses, 12' center height and enough lights to blind a man.

Anyhow, here's my set up. Everyone else post pics of your happy place!

Don't laugh...

Living by the beach has it's perks, but a large garage is not one of them... :(

I have about 16" to exit the truck, if I put on any weight I'm stuck! :roflsquared:

I was at my buddies in long beach back in January and he was pumped that someone moved out and his landlord gave him first dibs on their extra parking spot. $75 a month to be able to park in his own driveway. Hard pass. Haha

Mines still stuffed with boxes from the move but finally have a attached garage. Oversized double. Boarded, mudded and taped inside with heat for winter time. It'll be a work in progress for a few years but I have a few ideas brewing.

^^^Lol! That shoe box of mine runs around $175 a month.

I am utterly jealous of your garage... Very nice! My family would never see me if I even had half that space! :roflsquared:

yeah he pays $150/mo for 2 outside spaces and still has to continually run his neighbors out of them when he gets home. My favorite part of socal was when we took a 2 hour drive down PCH and then up the San Gabriel mountains. At about 6600ft of elevation with no other humans around it started to resemble somewhere i could spend some time. Otherwise, hard pass. Haha

This was a beautiful sunset if you ignore the fact that the colors are just light refracting off the pollution

I need to finish the inside If mine in the worst of ways, but as odd as it seems, this is a temporary garage. Once I get moved out of town on some land then I'll build a real mega garage. This shop has about 800ft of pex pipe in the floor for radiant heat but until I insulate I'm stuck with my noisy ass kerosene torpedo heater.

It's a '96 cr125 I built this winter. I built a McGrath replica but I did a 125 be cause its my loaner bike and most of my friends would die on a 250. That's why they never get to ride my crf either. Haha

Nice cant wait to see your real garage!

What do you heat the floor water with? And is it a closed circut? Sounds like something i most certainly want when i build my dream garage! :)

I haven't actually plumbed it up because for radiant to work efficiently it has to be a pretty air tight space. The set up I have is designed to be a closed system with a water/glycol mix. The idea is once you get the system and pad up to temp you just have to maintain it. Its basically a household water heater and a small circulation pump. I'm probably not ever going to hook it up because well be out of here in a few years, but it should be a pretty good system if the building were insulated.
