I vht'd all my lights facing backwards. Now I'm going led for the third brake light. Gonna vht that as well. I also left the reverse and cargo lamps alone. You wont be sorry imo.

If I smoke my tails I wont use vht. It will fade and it won't be very smooth. The painter at the body shop I work at uses a few light coats of black paint then clears them. They look awesome that way. Nice and smooth and they won't fade.

The painter isn't the guy that does the dents its this other guy. He chargers by size so say you have a dent like the size of a quarter in the door. That would probably be about $45 for that size.
