looking for everyones opinions, thoughts and experiences, which do you find to be best light color? keep in mind I drive in lots of rain and ALOT of snow being from northern Ontario, I currently have 4300k but tossing around the idea of swapping the factory projectors for some fxrs and debating if I would stick to 4300 or try some 5000's, ive read many people say although the 5000k is slightly lower lumens output, the fact that its a more pure white color actually seems brighter to the driver. now would it glare more in the rain in snow? the 4300 seems to cut through pretty good

I recently got some HID's with 35W 5,000K bulbs. I had no more glare on the road during rain at night. No snow here in Tennessee yet. :)

I'm in Texas so definitely no snow.
I'm on my second set of 43's.
There's a reason they come stock in cars with HID's.

5000K with 55W is a true white. It's the color I prefer. And pretty much the only thing I run in all my rigs.

My preference is to 5000k. Even when using a flash light at night I find that things look clearer to my eye the closer to white the light is. My understanding is that the lower lumen output is fairly minimal and for some your eyes wouldn't likely register the difference.

i personally use 5K in my stock projector housings, granted i live in Vegas, i think they are great, and i also have 6K HIDs in my fogs. I like the little hint of blue to the 6K but for driving purposes the 5K's would be my choice

5000 kelvin is the closest to daylight , anythin under you will slowly transition to a warm light like whats used in your houses standard interior bulbs, if yo go beyond 5000 you will start going into the purple/blue sided, which is slighly brighter on the lumen output , but also creates a haze look to the human eye , and is also harder on on other drivers
