I say hold out until you get what you want instead of buying twice, not like it looks bad in the current setup.

still have to say that those really impressed me when they rolled into the shop. hankook dynapros look pretty nice too, don't have any clue on how they wear though, and mastercraft courser ct's(while ugly) I bet have a good bite to them

I had Hankook Dynapro MT's before I lifted my truck and over 30,000 give her take they barely wore. Honesty you couldn't tell. But they sucked on ice, I'd be better off on bald tires. And to Nightmare's comment on the Nitto's I hope they don't wear too much, I don't want mine too either lol

I like the tread pattern on the Boggers

I'd consider them for a mud truck, but too aggressive for anything with DD duty.

15" rims will not fit on your truck. Nor do I think "trimming" calipers is a good idea for the sake of using them. Get 17's IMO. Since its a show truck, XD series wheels. Yeah I know you boys will flame me for the suggestion :D Those black fuel wheels you posted last look pretty good to.

Tires, none of the above get Mickey Thompson MTZ's :D

BTW I'll side with BlackMagnum, Toyo MT's are awesome!

I'll update in a second with what the wife said. But just so it's on record, 15" STEEL wheels with at least a 4" backspace or less DO clear. I had some on for a hot minute with 35's, was actually checking if 35's fit with my 3" lift and found the backspace was to offset and I rubbed the front bumper. But it DID in fact drive around fine with the wheels. And again, can't afford the Toyo's right now. Nor 17's. Don't like XD's and not a fan of the MTZ's.

Regardless though.

Update. Wife smacked me upside the head and told me to spend the extra coin for the 16's. She hates the look of the procomps and likes the Ultra's so tomorrow I'll be calling around for the best price on tires. Unfortunately 4WP doesn't sell ultra, and where I'm going to get them doesn't sell tires, only wheels. So no package deal but eh. Worse case scenario I wind up with the KO2's which I actually won't mind. Not super aggressive looking, but performance wise not a bad tire.

I'm pushing 55k on my Nitto Trail Grapplers. They don't NEED replaced right now, but I don't want to stretch them a lot further.

Only photo I can find that's recent.

i saw them in action and fell in love with them and i forgot about them. for DD duty i wouldn't even run mud tires anyway. that's just me i'd probably run AT's or the boggers just depends on what the truck is used for. my favorite HT's are contiental. i dislike the starfire tires on my truck. but, it's better than no tires.

Ran into a guy tonight with a red 2000 sport. Got to talking a little bit and it's so ironic how many issues we've had in common. The man had 330000 miles on a stock 360 with one plenum job and 3 transmissions.

16's are always a good choice. Wish I could run them on my rig.
Maybe I'm personally biased but I can't stand BFG Ko2s. Ran them on my Dakota and they were such garbage tires. Terrible traction offroad in anything slightly wet, snow and ice they were worse than slicks but I dont think that parts a concern for you lol. Maybe I just had a bad experience but can't say I would ever recommend them.

My Mickey's I must say have been impressive. Year old, 20k km and wouldn't even know it. Traction is amazing in everything I've been in with them, even snow and ice. Again I don't think snow and ice is a concern for you though lol.

On a side note, I think I offroaded my Dakota more than any other vehicle I've had :D

Could've used RTV for the cover  and gear oil isn't cheap, especially Royal Purple

No it is not. The other brand was just 5 bucks cheaper so I said **** it. Id rather do it right the first time with good gear oil.

I hear you. Although I've never had an issue running the cheaper brand...can't think of the name right now.

Problem is my Nitto's are wearing quicker than I had hoped, which isn't surprising considering I drive over 100 miles a day. Within the next few weeks I'll have to throw the Toyo's I have sitting in my garage on the truck, and I don't want to rely 100% on those lasting until I can afford to flip the bill for over 2k in wheels and tires. I'd rather just buy something that will work perfect for me for now, and if I have to resell the wheels when the tires I put on wear out then I'll go that route to recoop a little bit of loss. I won't be buying another set until the new ones I'm buying are used down to the point where I'm as concerned with it as I am right now.

Did I post some "fugly bro wheels" ??? haha

Ha regardless, I guess I'm a sucker when it comes to doing this crap. I called one of my rep's from 4WP and he talked me into a deal that was again...to sweet to pass up. I didn't give it the go ahead, I'm going to take the night to think about it as the stuff won't ship until tomorrow anyways.

Regardless of what tires I get, I'm doing the ProComp 15x10 in flat black with a 3.75" backspace. But he matched the price of 2 different tires to the same, so for the exact same price I can choose to have the General Grabber with the red letter side, or the Wrangler MT/R's with Kevlar I posted before.

I've always loved the look of the MT/R's, but we sell a ton of the Grabbers and every single person has loved them, meanwhile I've got a 42" MT/R sitting outside of my work that has less than 2k on it and a slashed sidewall from being in Moab. I'm thinking Grabber.

I absolutely love the look of the grabbers and they're THE tire i wanted....however i can't get em. Here in iowa we get too much snow and looking at the tread pattern i can guess they'll suck in snow, then i read a TON of reviews and the ONLY bad reviews were about snowy or really rainy areas. Sand, mud, dirt, rocks awesome. Snow/ice and lots of rain....not so much. Then i found my procomps and do fast I've been thoroughly impressed. Granted they are still pretty new but they're great in the mud, way better in the snow than i thought they would be, no rain problems, and they have the right amount of hum :D. Honestly I'll probably continue buying these if i can, even with the minimal 40k treadwear rating lol

KO2's have been out less than a year or so. The KO's I've ran and aside from great life I wasn't too impressed myself. But they've redesigned it and we've been selling the **** out of them, haven't heard anything bad yet. Got a customer who already has about 30k on them and they still look new.

It's not set in stone, I'm going to check around for the best deal.

Also....dude..I'm in Idaho. I deal with a LOT of snow. Nothing in the valley yet, but I can drive a half hour in 4 different directions and find myself a couple feet.

Thats the reason I got rid of my last M/T. Complete **** in 2-4 inches of snow. They would just peel out on top of the snow and get zero traction. My new coopers hopefully do better. I havent had any snow here in kansas so we will have to see. But in the rain they are great. Its not the most aggressive looking a/t but they have a very nice ride and are not as loud. All good things!
