Didn't do much Saturday do to a travel ban. :wtf2: I say let folks with 4wd have at her if they want to.

Got 28 inches of snow. Helped my g/f dig out her house, got both trucks up and running and both did great in this weather. :waytogo:

I had about 12 bags (600 lbs.) of salt in the bed that I was going to use for the walkways and during the plowing, I think I was the only one who didn't get stuck.

There were times while driving at higher speeds that I noticed some odd things but I still can't put a finger on exactly what that could have been. As we get more storms and I have more experience with the lift/plow combo I'm sure I'll figure it out. One thing I think I may need is to adjust the alignment differently for the winter to make up for the lift and plow working together.

To sum it up though,.. it's a bad ass truck in the snow with the lift, plow, and bigger tires.

I know it's a lot of money up front, you can even buy a used one somewhere and spend a little less. But I made over $2,000 just this past weekend. And that's me working under my father-in-law's business, so I am only getting 50%!

The money is there to be made my friend.. the plow pays for itself in one season and then you have it for as long as you want it..

I would worry about that front suspension...the 1500 aren't designed or made to handle that load for an extended period of time...plus it says that on the manual.

But hey, if you can pull it off and you feel comfortable with possible suspension issues down the road, go for it and enjoy. If I would ever decide to do something like that, I would do it on a 2500.

What kind of tires and rim do you have setup there j0hn? Pics of that would be good, when you have the time.

I am slightly concerned but have an internal understanding that it is only temporary. I do plan on going to a 2500 in maybe 3 years. My father-in-law and brother-in-law both have 2007 1500's that they have been using to plow since the trucks were new with no issue (knock on wood). My father-in-law just bought a 2015 RAM 2500 Laramie Limited a few months ago with the 6.4 in it and he loves it,.. obviously.

So again, once I upgrade, the 1500 will be a utility truck, not too much use.

Here are the wheels I have on right now (the specs are in my signature line):

This is what I want:

This weekend will be the Philly auto show if anybody is interested in going. I'm going to head over there with my little guy (11 years old) and have a fun time looking at cars (chargers) and trucks ( I like looking at what companies all have to offer) then have a nice debate with my son on....should I trade in my quad cab for a new crew cab, or pay off my quad cab in 2 years, and get a charger...lol. it will be fun.

We need to legit set up a meet and greet.. somewhere central to be fair. Sometime in Spring/Summer.. any ideas?

We can probably get a dealership involved somehow and have them bring a nice truck or two, maybe a Hellcat or something.. try and get them to bring some food too.

Get some other vendors.. set it up like an event, not just some dudes in a parking lot.

jOhn - What you are talking about isn't easy. Another club I belong to partners up with John Johnson Dodge for a charity event. We would have to pick a few dealerships and approach them about the idea. The one I go to has a small lot and wouldn't work. Another near were I work has a show already that we could go to if we wanted it's Licarrdi Dodge on Route 22. Also all of us interested may want to meet up and talk in detail and in person. If all else fails we could go the All Truck Nationals in Carlisle, PA. :)

Nothing worth it is easy.

I'm open to ideas, I just thought if we wanted to really do it, let's get the ball rollin'..

I agree. Carlisle would be the easiest since all we would have to do is register for the fun field and park together as a group.

If you wanted to go the dealer route then we would have to pick a few dealerships and talk to them in person. Harder to say no when you are face to face with the person.
