Engine Bay: Bling Bling

Have been gathering some pieces to begin accesorizing my engine bay. I have decided to use the color them of Black, Silver, and Red. I ordered red silicone radiator hoses and plan to do a coolant flush and install when my polished BT water neck arrives. I have ordered the BT engine dress kit in Black with silver etched edges. I just received my ported throttle body cover. Pieces are like jewelry and very nicely crafted. I had the transformer decepticon etched on the black throttle body cover. Looks mean and it's not out wide in the open so not too noticeable. I also received my 3G customs covers and am getting them powder coated to match the plastic pieces. I am still debating on color arrangements but think I am getting close. I will continue to post build picks here as I make progress. Here is the first pics, I just finished ATI super dampener pulley and e-fan which clears up a lot of room as well as streamlines things a bit. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. My truck is bright silver with lots of chrome so adding some viper red into the engine bay will spice things up a bit.

Here is a pic of the BT throttle body cover. All my caps will match the black and polished edge. Caps will have 5.7l markings.

Thinking of these colors for valve covers. Maybe do the RT in silver. I am also planning to do what David Ram suggested and do 1/8" plexi between the backing plate for depth.

S&B Cai

Plan on painting the S&B logo on the Intake tube red and installing some red LEDs in cai box like this.

Thanks I'll post more picks as I install. Still toying with paint scheme for top cover. Sorry for all the posts but I can only seem to attach one pic per post. I like this color scheme as well.

These are some of the members ideas I liked they are painted but I am looking into all options now such as hydro dipping or vinyl wrap. Just trying to coordinate a color scheme so that the valve covers are opposite of the outer of top plastic using colors of viper red silver/polished and black. Got everything ordered just need to paint powder coat and install. The orange would look killer with yours. Looks orange in pic. Lol

Hey Hipps, sounds like you have a good plan for a ******* engine bay!

Just a little tip, make sure you get the half covers in before you spend money on painting the factory engine cover. You probably won't want the oem cover on top of the 3g covers...
Usually, the half covers replace the engine cover for a more clean, uncluttered, non-plasticy look!

Hey David...Thanks man...I saw that many leave top cover off, just don't know if I want to see that plastic intake lol. It would look better with a supercharger on top of it...just not there yet. lol This is why I want to paint them opposite so that both covers compliment one another. I am leaning toward black with red lettering on 3G half covers and black center red lettering and red outer on top cover. Gonna have painted at a shop so won't look as plastic. How is your Jeep coming? I noticed when I PM'd you that my phone screwed up some of the words..so you probably didn't understand what I meant. Was inferring on your new project. I got the jeep PCM cover yesterday, it's a little smaller than the PCM in the truck, but fits. Question did you trim the little tabs underneath? I might use this as a mock up to get one Fabbed up at local metal shop that fits perfectly. I also pulled your specs for a battery box cover...spoke with 3G customs but might be better having fabbed locally where they can see truck. Yeah, so the plan is to get the PCM, battery cover, top motor cover, and fuse box done up. Powder coat the 3G customs half covers, and install red silicon hoses with the 180 stat and then all the BT candy. I should complete over the next 4 weeks. You can watch progress here.

Yeah that is what I am working on! You threw a wrench in my plans when I saw those half covers!!! I had never seen them. Imo screw the factory cover, I just ordered my half covers!!!

Yeah, the 3G covers are really nice. I am debating on chroming them, or going black and red. lol
