I have been told that I can fit 33's on aftermarket wheels with only a leveling kit. Is this right, and if so, do any of you have pictures of this set up? Any help here would be much appreciated!

ETA: this is for an 11 4x4 1500 sport

On Stock wheels you can fit a max tire size of 325/50r20's with a 1/2 wheel spacer. But just to let you know yes you can fit 33's fine.

You can fit 35s with just a level with no problem. The only thing is the width you have to watch out for. Pretty much any tire you go with will have some minimal rubbing on the sway bar. As long as it's just at full lock you'll have nothing to worry about.

On stock rims, you can run a 295/65-20 (35.5x12.2x20) which is what I ran for about 3 months with just a 2" level. I ran that tire on stock sport 20s. In order to run a 12.5" tire with just a level you will need about a 1/4" spacer.

If you want a slightly smaller tire, look into the 295/60-20 (34.5x12.2x20). Same tire as I'm running, but 1" shorter.

I just realized he said aftermarket wheels though, so with the right backspacing and offset, he could run 12.5" tires without a spacer I believe.

reviving an old thread. But i want to be clear. If i have a 4x4 sport with the stock sport wheels i CAN fit 33x12.50x20's? It will not rub on the plastic wheel well liner? only on the sway bar at full lock??

cause i had those on my f150 without level and they fit (rubbed on full lock on the sway bar) but i just thought because of the plastic wheel well liners these wouldnt fit)

33x12.5x20 will not fit on stock sport wheels without a spacer. The height isn't the problem, its the width.

ok thats what i thought, it looked tight width wise. What would the specs on aftermarket 20 inch wheels have to be to fix this issue. looking at xd addicts (black)

As long as you go with a negative offset on your wheels, 12.50 will fit no problem, I currently run 37x12.50x17 BFG AT's on American Racing ATX Atilleries with a -12 offset, with a 2.5 inch Ready Lift level kit

What they ^^^ both said

stock rims = spacers
aftermarket rims = negative offset

Yes, just need a negative offset wheel. Factory wheel specs are a positive offset, so going with even a small negative offset will clear them just fine.

Just to give you a heads up, those wheels, in spite of being listed as "Black" are actually grey, I had a choice 200 bucks to send them back, and take a hit on one because it was mounted, or get them powder coated, cost me the same as sending back. After what I went through to find a suitable set I decided to keep and powder coat.
