Do you need to replace the Upper Control Arms when using the 5100`s instead of spacers because of the factory ball joint pop out situation that occurs on Ram 1500 trucks.
Thanks, I have a 2017 Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 completely stock. I want to put Nitto Exo Grappler AWT 35x12.50R18LT on Black Rhino Mojave Wheel 18x9 Bolt Pattern:5x5.5 (5x139.7) 00mm offset on the truck. The tires spec out at Diameter 34.76 Width 12.52 on a 10" rim. The aloud rim sizes are 8.5-(10.0)-11.0. I plan on using Bilstein 5100`s on all 4 corners with the fronts set at the max (2.8) to level and make room for the tire. I`m not a off road guy, if this truck see`s a mud puddle I would be amazed. I just like big tires and want it to look good. Do you think this set-up will work OK? Thanks for your time and the info, really helps a novice like me.
Looking for a cheaper 2.5" coilover kit for the front to run with some icon 1.5" lifted springs in the rear. Icon kit is a little above budget. 2017 ram 1500 express qc. Going to run Toyo at 35x12.5 on 18x9 with 4.5" backspace. Should this setup work?

Fox 2.0 coilovers are another, cheaper option to look at.
As far as the wheel/tire setup goes, there's no issues with that setup at all.
Aren't the fox only 2"? If I do that is a 1/2" spacer ok to put with the coilover?

I agree 100% W/ Brandonjanson , but why not just do Bilstien's @ +2.8" ?Looking for a cheaper 2.5" coilover kit for the front to run with some icon 1.5" lifted springs in the rear. Offroading or not they are a great setup.
I offroad on a very regular basis .
IMO , the bils are a $cheep$ & simple install ( DIY ) that will settle a bit with time to about 2.6ish " ( as mine has ) which is pretty much the 2.5" you require .
Fwiw , I've had the bils installed @ + 2.8" for over 25k and the ride is still better than stock imo and I've had Zero issues .
Just a thought Sir .
Hope this helps you !
