Long story short I paid $8700 for it on 09/19. The dealer agreed to fix the "gas cap" light on the dash. It ended up being $1000 worth of repairs. They took care of that. Then I needed all new spark plugs, rear pinion seal, pass. side valve cover gasket. Every 200 or 300 miles it was breaking down. Then my pass. side low beam stopped working. I tried multiple new bulbs, no luck. Volt meter said the h13 plug had power to it. Online research said it was the TIPM. Brought it to the dealer and it was the TIPM. 9 internal failures for electrical lighting. At the same time the dealer found my heater core was bad (asked them to investigate why my heat was so bad). So I had a $3k repair bill on my hands. I went down to the used car lot and test drove a bunch of Rams. I picked the one I did because they gave me $8600 on my trade (only lost $100 off what I paid for it), I got them from window price (KBB value) $19,990 down to $16,100. So after my trade in value, I put the $3k down I was going to spend on repairs, I got a $1k employee discount. After tax, title and tags I ended up only owing $4k. The cheapest Quad/Crew they had was another $8k on top of what I was already paying. My payments would have went from $160 for 38 months to around $360- $400 for 4 or 5 years. I did not want a payment to begin with so that wasn't an option. Why did you trade in the "big" truck for a regular cab?
