So the 2019 Ram Hemi will have a low end only hybrid assist of 130 lb-ft of torque. Max hp still 395 and torque 410. The hybrid option adds start stop feature.
There will be a 48v battery in the rear of the cab, I guess behind the passenger seats. On the bright side, it can second as a seat warmer.....

I think it looks pretty good. The interior is extremely nice. I just hope there are multiple interior color options. Not a fan of the black interiors... although I know that's the new "norm". I tried to post the reveal video last night, but admins have it blocked, I believe... not sure why.

So if they listened to owners and made changes, lights, weight, etc, they played with the frame even. Wonder if they did anything with the oil filter location?? Maybe made it slightly easier to access?? I gotta say I like where some vehicles out there today have them... pop the hood and it's right there, open a door, change the filter. Thats easy. Being the Hemi is the same, I'm guessing filter is the same.
Also wonder if Ram maybe made the cab stop light a bit more water sealed?? Knock on wood, I have have no problems at all, don't wanna jinx it. But reading on here many owners have had leaks and report the sealing from factory is to be desired.

Noticed that the catalytic converters are still in the same place(right after the manifolds). Makes me wander if the new ones will have the same problems with the manifold bolts.

Also, from the front, it looks a lot like the 19 ford ranger.

played a couple of minutes with PhotoShop, how do you like my alternative :)

At least it seems more familiar to me, the one I got used to, but all new at the same time.

I don't care if I am able to disable the generator, it's still there and will put drag on the engine. If they all come standard with it, I'll be buying somebody's used express or tradesman.

That looks a little better but I just ain’t diggin’ those scrawny headlights and those extra two holes in the bumper for the tow hooks.

I dunno, maybe it’ll grow on me someday but for now, that thing’s hideous... I’m sorry. Lol.

Edited to add...
I’m not liking those 22 inch wheels either. Tires are too small, they look like rubber bands. I’m assuming the 22’s are an option?

I'm a young guy (25) so tech definitely appeals to me. And this tech, if it functions properly (giving it the benefit of the doubt), it blows our technology out of the water. The tail lights and headlights along with the interior definitely speaks to me. Losing the cross hair grill not so much. But overall it is a sweet truck. It looks a lot more modern.

all that tech is going to require a learning curve with what i'm guessing a lot of warranty work. Goes back to the old saying, never buy the first year of a new design.

Don't get me wrong, i think the interior looks great and wouldn't mind the newer huge screen.

2020 MY is going to be the one to buy, let them get a year of building, fixing and revising this tech under their belts before writing the cheque IMO.

I agree, I bought the first year of the 15 first rollout redesign Charger and felt lack luster once 16, 17 etc came out. I am just saying, it doesn't seem like a facelift in the flashy aspects, its a whole new truck!

From what i understand the "sport" package s now a buildable option on the Laramie trim. Kinda makes sense from a manufacturing point of view. It's just an option now rather then a model.

I think on the new laramie sport we'll get the hood they showed and all the color matching, unique rims possibly even 22", but I didn't see a unique bumper to the sport trim.

Either way, it's gonna be awful hard for me to hold out on that black Laramie sport.... My 17 is only 6months old though. This is the first time I can honestly say i wish I would have waited for the new gen release.
Nice!!
Should be a killer truck!
