They should have a few, I went to the Houston show last Sunday and they had a top level Laramie and a rebel, not behind ropes either you could crawl all over them lol
Yep, they had a silver/gray loaded Laramie CC 2019 edition there, along with a CC Rebel edition, that you could get into and crawl all over as you said. They also had another red 2019, I think it was a CC Laramie, up on a platform with a booth babe periodically talking about the 2019 redesign from the platform. I don't mind the design of the new grille, but it's all chrome on the Laramie model at the carshow, just too much chrome for me. Hopefully the sport option packages will offer body color grilles.
I got to check out the 2019 Laramie pretty good while there. The 12" screen will definitely take some getting used to. I'm a tech guy so I'm fine with it, and they had it powered up so you could play around with the touchscreen a bit. The screen seems to respond to pinch during navigation better and quicker than the 8.4 system in my 2018. You still have switches/buttons on the side of the screen to control key features so there's still duplication for those who prefer the tactile feel of a switch/button.
The extra 4" inches for the CC makes a huge difference in the rear seats. The reclining seats are also a nice feature and both my son and I had enough legroom even with the seats reclined, though we're only 5' 10" in height so not sure how well taller folks will fare. The panoramic sunroof is a really nice add for those who like this type of feature. The flat rear floor is a nice add as well, especially for the middle rear passenger. Slightly larger storage compartments underneath the mats in the usual locations, and not having the subwoofer under the larger of the 60/40 folding rear seats adds more useful storage space (I believe the sub, along with the battery for the eTorque system - both sit behind the rear seats).
The console in between the front bucket seats is much more useful now, you can slide one section within the length of the entire console to set it up however works best for you, perhaps a total of 8-12" of travel.
The pickup bed itself seems the same as the 4th gens, but I didn't climb up into it either. The gate seems even lighter than the gate on my 2018.
It's funny at the auto show, I ended up answering a lot of questions on the 2019 RAMs and comparing them to the 4th gens while other people were getting in and out of the vehicles, to the point where one of the people from RAM asked me if I worked for FCA. Nope, just an educated RAM fan.
