If you are not registered to this site, i highly reccomend doing so. I just registered, and found out there is a body control recall on my truck. For a week i couldnt figure out why i was having all kinds of problems with my truck, or what was causing it. Well now i know.

Have they done the recall yet? Did that fix your dash lights issue? Good deal if it did

Getting my truck towed to the dealer tomorrow. I told them to figure it out, service manager thinks its the body control module. After I registered in that site, I noticed there is a recall for the column shifter, and the body control module. Im keeping my fingers crossed thats what the problem is with the wipers, dash lights, gauges not working, and windows not going down.

Once you sign up online you can also download the phone app. The truck sends data to FCA so it will track mileage and suggest the maintenance, recalls etc.

I don't know how it connects exactly, but if you have the factory radio with the navigation, the screen shows 3g connected down next to the setting button. It's odd but the website doesn't show my mileage updated. The app does show the current mileage so it must be reporting back to the mother ship. I think if you change out the factory radio, it cuts the connection. I remember seeing someone posting about the WiFi hotspot that's built in and they said it was Sprint service but the SIM card was embedded into the radio and couldn't be changed to another cellular carrier.

So if I have the crappy base radio it won't send the info?

That's a good question. I assume it can't since it doesn't have the built in data connection. This is all just a guess though. I've looked to see exactly what it sends, how often etc, cant find any documentation on it. If you subscribe to the Assist service it will run diagnostics on the truck and you can log into the truck to unlock doors, start it, lock it etc. I can't even find documentation on that and what it's diagnosing. Then again it might be sending it through bluetooth connection with the phone app like my Sorento did.

My Kia Sorento would run diagnostics through the UVO app but it never said what all it was sending. It gave a driving score so it was monitoring how you drove and it went as far as to log trips, drive time, average speed, distance and location. I would assume Uconnect is logging as much or more since it's a lot more advanced.

I use the app often. I had about 500 miles on my truck when the app notified me about a recall for the shifter to brake pedal cable. Made the service appointment on the app on a Saturday night and had it in the shop on Monday morning. Excellent app!
