100 pounds = 1/10 = 10hp. I'll weigh the stuff when I get home. I also have those metal folding floors and those weigh a hit, too.

But you know what, given your response, I'm glad I'll be ching this toxic ass forum. You insult me and **** on facts like the one above that I've actually GOTTEN from car builders. You call my truck chopped and abused when I've been doing nothing but fixing **** on it.

Look whatever. If I need something I'll ask. But aside from that, I'm done, and when I get my car, I won't be around anymore.

Dana was right. Too much drama and ******** here. Deuces.

Well as we have all proven in the past, your so called car builders your facts have come from in the past dont know **** about cars...

and yes, i'm calling your truck something similar to "chopped and abused" simply because it is, but yes you are fixing it, and you can take that as an insult if you want but guess what, my black truck is chopped and abused and look at it now, guess what, i'm fixing it, the difference is i'm doing it the right way, i'm taking my knowledge and combining it with knowledge from others and making it right, just as you should be for yours, and ill admit you have started making yours better, it has come a long way since you started, so calm down with the butthurt, our trucks are what they are, many of us have brought our trucks from an abused state and made them into something much better than they ever had a future of being, its a process, and yours is in the beginning still, facts are facts, don't cry over it...

On the drama part, well you make 95% of your own drama on here, we have all helped in areas we are all experts in, and most of us will continue to help you, myself included, but you cant have a victim mentality and be all sad when someone calls you out or tells you like it is, you come in here and spout out some complete and utter bull crap you will get called out, and if you try to defend utter bull crap you will get drug through the mud until you get the point, getting mad at us for knowing real truth over your false facts doesn't do anything but start all this "drama" you speak of

Fine, fine. And yes there are tons of factors and I literally barely feel a difference. But still. It was just an experiment in the end. Whatever, I'm sorry. Every time we go through this, this happens, I think you guys are ***** then you turn around and be nice again.

Wtf, lol... :/

I'm considering taking the front spacers out. As well as, as I've said, picking up some aluminum 17s for less rotating mass and unsprung weight. I drove my boss's 3/4 ton 6.0 NBS gasser work truck with plenty of **** in the bed and it felt pretty poky. It's either the 16s on it, the 4l80 trans, or both, but I liked that feel like there was nothing holding it back from its full as is potential.

I'm also still upset about the difficulty of burning out with my truck and the poor fuel economy, could I please get some insight on this?

a 3/4 ton is a completely different animal, im on number 2 of my 2500 3/4 ton hemi trucks, and they are torque monsters for being a gasser, my truck pulls the same empty as it does with a loaded car hauler, they are not race trucks by any means, but aint much going to slow her down when she gets to purring, ya know!

lets start with this on your MPG talk:

1. TIRES! make a major difference ive literally gone from one street tire to another and lost almost 2mpg, in that case i went from a general grabber HP to a cooper Xenon tire and thats when i saw my loss, good tire but sucked for MPG

2. The OEM flower pedals are HEAVY, get rid of them, the 17s you speak of will be great, my silver truck lost 1mpg avg. when i went from steel 17s to alum 20s

I just want it to be able to do a burnout without issue. What's wrong with that?? Lol.

Okay. Thanks. I want to run the 275/60r17 nittos or something in that range. Would that be a good choice? I do want some level of good grip...

There’s nothing wrong with lighting up the tires every once in awhile. Like I said before, mine wouldn’t do a power brake burnout before I had a tune. Don’t quote me but I think it probably has to do with the torque management, not a power problem. As soon as I got it tune, I could annihilate the tires. I’m not talking just a little chirp, I mean put the truck sideways in the middle of the road.

Although not a 3rd gen owner, I like to read through the threads. And since you have been posting, you have been all over the place on what you want out of your vehicle. Even I gave you advice on a thread months ago on how to handle trading the truck with your friend for a car and gave some financial advice to which you never replied to. But as soon as you ask a question, you get upset if youre not answered immediately. I have cringed many a times when I see Demon and others give you TONS of free knowledge to which you dont implement and argue back. If I was Demon, I would have stopped after day one. But if you cant tell, he and the others are awesome men, patient and willing to help when they are asked. However, you ignore the fact they they do this out of kindness. In life, youre nothing to them, so nothing should be expected, yet you do expect help for who knows what reason. So for you to say you think they are d****, then are nice again, youre very misguided. They are not d****s and then nice, they are ONLY nice. The fact that they have dealt with all your problems and questions and condescending information shows alone how great they are. When you look in the mirror and tell yourself its not you, its everyone else who has a problem, you give yourself the answer but also ignore it. You said you are glad to leave this forum, insult members, and then turn around and ask for more help and laugh it off like its all a joke. This may be an internet forum, but respect is respect, and you should show some. You are young, not much younger than me as I am 25, but for your sake you need to check yourself. And I know you will get defensive and put on your tough guy act but save it, no one has time for it. It is getting to the point where you cry wolf so many times, no one will come to your aid. But you dont want to hear any of it. You want to spew your 'knowledge' while also looking for confirmation of it. When youre told its wrong, you get defensive. In life, if you stop acting like you have all the answers, you actually begin to learn. And before you say you dont act like that and ask for help, as Demon said, read between the lines. You do act that way. If you are leaving the forum, good, if not, good too, but you need to change your attitude towards those who owe you nothing, yet give you plenty, and apologize to them. It was funny to read your ridiculous posts in the beginning, and now it is very unbecoming. Ill pass on the TX meetup if youre going to attend, thats how over YOUR drama I am and I have barely spoken to you. Rant over.

What did I not respond to?

Actually, it doesn't matter. That deal fell through. Also, I'm not gonna stand for someone calling me a ****** person. It's just untrue.

Do what you want on the Texas meetup and not helping me or talking to me. You're gonna feel how you feel, and that's your choice and problem. Just remember, forgiveness is not for the other person, it's for you to let go of the feelings that their actions caused.

Sorry if I offended you.

Well since you asked.

"As said before it's all up to you. If you are comfortable driving that chevy and would rather have a more economic car then that's your call. I'm not sure how old you are but you don't appear very old, and the worse thing you can do is get in over your head with finances that will hurt you down the road. It's really one of two things. Trade the truck to your friend and get that chevy, or keep your truck and put modding on pause. Think of it this way, if you're willing to drive a chevy spark, then you should be willing to drive your truck with no additional money put into it. You never want to spend money just to spend it. When you're younger (and I'm not old by any means but I have a child two car payments rent etc etc etc) money really burns a hole in your pocket because you don't have all the living expenses that will have to be paid for you to survive. Saving is always good. Good luck buddy."

But that is besides the point and you completely missed the one I tried to make. No one called you that, you are putting words in my mouth. Please do not try to act philosophical, because you cant pretend to have the moral high ground one minute, and then be rude the other. Just like how you go in every direction with your truck. You did not offend me, I am offended for the members who you have treated in a poor manner. I posted what I posted to try to get through to you what you needed to hear, but I obviously wasted my breath, as many others have too. I should have known.

Do you know if you have 3.92 or 3.55 gears? What’s your highway rpm at 70? Is you have 3.55’s it’s probably gonna be even harder to spin em

Your didn't waste your breath dude, I just don't take what seems like an attack very well.

Anyway, I didn't respond to that last bit because I figured we were done. You said "good luck, buddy" and I smiled and thought about up until I was told he wouldn't be doing that deal anymore.

Going back to the truck's direction thing, I really do want to replace it. So no major mods, and only things I can do to increase mpg, resale value, reliability, or fixing things. That's my final verdict.

It's not getting a huge drop, full bolt ons, turbo, nos, gears, or any of that. At best it'll get a tune, tint, wheels and tires and a 2-3/4-4.5 drop. Maybe an inexpensive audio system and lighting upgrades, too.
