My radio came out of a 2016 U.S. sold 2500 and the first letters of that Vin# is 3C. My truck is a U.S sold 2014 1500 and the first two letters are 1C. I thought the 1500 was built in Mexico but not sure about the 2500. I always assumed one was 1C and the other was 3C because one was a 1500 and the other was a 2500.1C means the vehicle is built for FCA US (Fiat Chrysler of America, USA). They would both have the same first two characters.
2C = Canada, 3C = Mexico
The C means Dodge/Chrylser
