after doing a little research on here, I thought id give installing rear footwell lights a try. my truck is a 2019 1500 classic big horn. the rear lighting connectors were present, but since it is only a big horn, there were no actual lights installed under the rear seats. I first started by wiring my own harnesses to go from the led "pods" to the oem connectors under the rear bench. I didn't have the correct Mopar pins for the stock lighting connector, but these little computer pins I did have worked very well. heres the light wired up ready to be installed, as well as a photo of the light itself and the pins I used to make it plug and play for the trucks factory connector.
.
once the new led "pods" were wired, I took them to the truck and made a small hole in the seats underside carpet lining so I could run the wiring through it as it were oem.
the led "pods" are attached to the seat by a piece of velcro.
heres both sides installed in place.
