After moving from diesel to gas and back I now find that my diesel requires DEF (my last diesel, a 2006, did not). I have not found a way to add DEF using the nozzles provided with the product without having fluid leak out through the little rubber vent at the nozzle. I can't believe everyone puts up with this so I must be doing something wrong. For now I am transferring to another container and then adding to the truck. Any tips, suggestions?

I've never had the vent leak either, no matter what position it is in. I mostly use the Blue Def. I tilt the container way up.

Maybe my problem is the DEF, I have been using the $7.99 for 2.5 gals from Rural king. Always leaks from the vent which ends up on the bottom when the nozzle is tightened.

didn't have a problem with the boxes, I use the DEF pump at the fuel station mostly now.
That's a good price for DEF in a box as they're usually more per gallon than the pump.

Could be a container issue, you know what has to be done to prove that out.

Guess I should have stated that I only have used the Wal Mart brand DEF so not sure what the other brands containers are like?

Yes of course that is your answer to everything isn't it? Not everyone lives where that is an option or are willing to void their warranty.
Plus, deleting is the worse thing you can do to irritate the EPA. It's the deleters who brought the wrath of the EPA to the tuners. I am not a fan of deleting for those reasons plus it pollutes the air in the worst way.

Once again, reading comprehension would do people well. I pointed out the painfully obvious. Do it, don’t do it, doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

I live in Commiefornia, enough said!

Tires, pollute more than any diesel or gas vehicle, period. Think that’s a joke, do some research.

Until these trucks are made with bomb proof DEF injectors, pumps and everything else that is used to inject it into the SCR, there are going to be people that have problems.

I just pointed out the ELEPHANT in the room.

I’m going to leave this conversation cause it’s no different than talking to a rock. Good day.
