Now that is a real boat trailer. I'm jealous. Mine looks like an erector set.
Haha thank you! Actually meant for a 32' boat, vs my 23'(27' overall with engine, etc).
Figured I'd go double the rating on the trailer(14k trailer carry capacity vs 8k fully loaded boat) to keep stress off the trailer, boat & truck. The trailer that originally came with the boat, although well within limits, I was never truly comfortable pulling it long distances. Even though I'm OCD on maintenance, the previous trailer after every long distance trip needed wheel bearings redone, breaks(even though I upgraded everything to stainless components,) needed attention. I was just tired of throwing good money/time/effort into it. Got lucky found a 2022 trailer used once to bring a new boat from FL to NY. Had a welder extend the trailer tongue inward 4' so it would fit my boat lol Super happy with the results though, no worries about overloading the trailer with my current boat, & now have a trailer for up to a 32' boat when it's time to add to the fleet, upon wifey's approval lol.
Just installed Timber Grove air bags on the rear to get rid of any squatting. Even with 0 load on the truck, running bags @ 7PSI what a huge difference in ride quality.
I didn't expect it, but when I first drove the PW after installing the rear airbags, I could not stop smiling due to the better ride quality. Best way to describe it, almost like "floating" over any potholes, etc vs that
sometimes jarring feeling lol
