Glad your OK and they are going to fix the truck. When they try to put that 32 gallon gas tank in and you have any questions let me know---If you plan to follow the advice of the one member that said he made to cow's owner pay for his damage, you might check the local laws. At least here in Texas the law is a little different. We think a little more of the our cows down here and who has the right of way.--LOL--

I am thinking the tank should be a straight swap, from what I have been able to find out the 32 gallon tank is just longer and should use the same straps and fuel pump/sending unit.

Your problem with the fuel tank comes from the computer and the DTE readings and the general accuracy of your gauge. I think somewhere on here I had a thread talking about switching mine from a 26 to a 32. The computer has to be re-flashed with new codes but the dealer does not have access to that part of the computer, it has to be done by someone in the regional office. I don't remember the codes for sure but if you look up the thread I think they may be on there. One of the members on this forum has also done this swap and is kinda an "expert". He may chime in and help you-----just don't question him or continue to ask questions--he gets kinda huffy about you continuing to ask questions after he gives you all the answers. LOL

You guys are a ranch hand bumper commercial. But I doubt the truck would escape cow damage that is narly, but they handle deer pretty good. Hope the cow didn't go to waste, with your impact it probably doesn't even need tenderizer.
