No lie guys, I just ordered some and had a dream this EXACT thing happened to me!!!

I planned to do the same thing if they arrived during the week. Just put them on using the clamps until I got time to get them welded on the weekend.

NOT GONNA DO THAT NOW!

Don't feel too bad. Same thing happened to me on my Mustang about 8 years ago. I made a 150 mile trip and notice I lost one tip. A week later I found the tip 10 feet from my driveway and completely flat. I know how you feel.

The bright side is no one was hurt when it bounced off the highway and into a windshield, or cause the semi to wreck. That would have upped the mistake way beyond a $100.

Yeah when I heard the clunk and looked in my rear view the tip must have been 10 feet in the air, the 2nd or 3rd bounce is when it started to roll.
