    The 2003's did not have a 5.9 in them. The last year for the 5.9 was the 2002 model year. If it is a 2003 then it would either have the 4.7 small V8 or the 5.7 Hemi.

    Back when I had 31" tires and 3.92 gears ... I was getting 19 mpg highway and 16 mpg city with the 5.7 Hemi, that went to hell when I started putting bigger tires on it and was down to 9 mpg until I went with 4.56 gears. Not getting anywhere close to what I was getting stock, now I'm at 15...

    I don't understand why you put 4.56 gears in if your only running 31" tires? Your not going to really get better mileage by changing to the 4.56's unless your running bigger tires then you will only gain back what mileage you lost. The 3.73 and 3.92's are more then efficient up to a 35" tires...

    If anything, I would remove the 1" and put a 3" on in its place. I didn't even know they made a 1" body lift. I thought most of them were 2 and 3". But to place a 3" on top of the 1" would be a disaster! And of course, when you lift the body off the frame 3" there will be some fabrication...

    I had that set up a long time ago with my 03 1500. Only I used the stock rims at first with 315/70/17's and had no problems with rubbing. I did change the wheels then to the AR Baja's, same backspace as stock but they have a 0 offset compared to the stock -24 offset, that brought the wheels...
