    Personally I wouldn't bother with trying to aim the CDT's in the doors. Seems like a lot of work. Just for kicks disconnect/turn off the tweeters and just see if you can get the HD-6's aligned and up high. Much easier to aim and adjust the tweeters to match the mids then vice versa! And try it...

    Maybe I missed it, but where are your crossover points? You've shut off the tweeters and just tried the HD-6's full range(just for the alignment) and tried aligning those first? (Great speakers by the way, I have two pair but not using them in the truck). If not it could at least help track down...

    Unless I'm missing something you're trying to pull a 1 ohm load from an inexpensive amp that I highly doubt is 1 ohm stable. The amp is most likely going into protection mode. You can keep the amp bridged, but wire one sub's negative to the others positive, then the open positive to the amp's...

    I played around with them aimed (via the wrapped in towel method) up out of the dash and was shocked how well they sounded. I have the crossed at 800hz/12db and even the bass was much better and higher and more accurate. Artifacts in the music I suppose. Windshield reflections destroy the music...

    Impressive, but damn that's a lot of dough for a head unit! I like the fact it integrates with the Alpine DSP. I'm running the older H701 wonder if it would work with it? Suppose it doesn't matter, I'll stick with the $89 tablet concept lol. Out of my budget.
