I own a 96 ram 1500 4x4 with a 5.9 v8 and the transmission died . I cannot afford a 2000.00 rebuild so I found a low millage one for sale out of a 99 4x4 also with a 5.9 v8 are these transmissions the same? 46re? any changes for those years or direct bolt up? Thanks for the help

Thank you so much for the Video , I watched the whole thing and have come to realize that it is above my skill set . I found a shop that will drop it,rebuild it and Warranty it for 1200.00 all in unless anyone knows a good shop that cheaper in Phoenix Az,

Well i took it apart again and found i did not plug the govenor sensor in all the way. This seems to have fixed it then today driving back from work when slowing down and downshifting it started making a loud nasty sound, i pulled over and check the fluid all ok but could smell like burnt...
