    They're almost the same box honestly. It's supposedly slightly stronger since its fixed ratio. The atf is what made the difference

    Driving a lot. Ended up needing a new steering box. Put a 1 ton box in, and converted to atf in the power steering. Night and day difference. Feels like I'm steering a stock truck Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk

    Not sure. But it's suddenly leaking PS from the top side of the box. And not from the lines.

    Preload was set within spec. No way for there to have been water in it, fluid was changed weeks ago and the truck hasn't even been out in rain since. Let alone off road/submerged in water. Possibly just the picture, but the pinion was not chewed up at all. No rust on it either. Possibly just...
