I bought the stubby for my 2014. Looks good but reception sucks. I'm only about 25 miles south west of Chicago and it's still bad. I'll be removing it soon.
They do generate heat however it's all in the rear of the light. I work for an electrical supply house. Commercial led lights have big heat sinks behind the diodes to help keep them cool. The front side where the light is emitted stays cool.

I've always passed on the undercarriage protection. Never had any rust issues and I live in the Midwest. Now if they had something for the rear quarter panels I'd invest in a heart beat.
My dealer also wanted $90 for a 6.4 oil change. I bought one of their service contracts for $185 for 4 oil changes. I can't do it myself that cheap. I've been changing mine when it gets down to 25% which is right around 5500 miles.
If they mount like my mopar stainless ones you'll need something they call "rivnuts" that mount into the factory hex shaped holes under the body. The bolts then screw into those. They cannot be removed once installed so if these are factory take offs they won't be included.
