    Used Engine Question

I blew my engine back in February. My truck is a 2003 with the 5.7 hemi. I found a Hemi out of a 2006 with 60,000 miles at a local salvage yard, they were asking $2300. After a few days of back and forth I got the engine for $1800. I was pretty happy with that. I installed it myself. If I had...

    Chrome clad wheels...Paint???/

My flower petals have been plasti-dipped for about 4 or 5 months now. Have not had any peeling at all, and I wash them just like it did before I dipped them. I will try to get a picture, but they are filthy right now. It hasn't rained here for months and it seems wrong at this point to use the...

    Favorite tool brand

It really depends on what you using it for. If you make you living with hand tools you need: Snap-on, Mac, Matco. If they are just for personal use Craftsman is fine. I actually use a lot of Harbor Freight tools. They are cheap, and honestly, you can replace them 5 or 6 times (probably more) for...

    weird rubbing sound

I replaced a hub assembly about a month ago. Get lots of PB Blaster. And I would soak the crap out of it all night. I had to beat the hell out of the old hub with a small sledge hammer to get the damn thing out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Homemade CAI. Post up your pics.

I have a bunch of tubing and elbows to make my CAI. I know several folks on here have done the same on their 3rd gen Hemi. So, post the pics up! I want to see how different folks did it in different ways. Thanks to all. I'm just want to see the different variations before I start working on...

    1/8 mile times ?

Wow! I have 20's on my quad cab and 3.92's, and you were almost a full second faster. Does superchips make that much difference or am I having a problem I should look into? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    1/8 mile times ?

I am curious. What is your speed at 9.6? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    1/8 mile times ?

9.6 is a great time. I have an 03 QCSB with a stock 5.7 and I run high 10.3's, low 10.4's with a best of 10.34. I think 9.6 is pretty damn good without digging into the engine!

    392 stroker 0-60 time

Ah well that changes things. It does make the numbers come out about right. However, I would think that the 392 stroker should be faster than my truck.

Welcome to the forum by the way. Great people and great information here

    392 stroker 0-60 time

Dynolicious is a fun app, but I have never thought it to be very accurate. The 1/8 mile time compared to speed seems impossible. My truck, an 03 quadcab with a bone stock 5.7 Hemi, runs a 10.34 second 1/8 mile at 68.8. So running a 10.41 at 110 does not seem plausible. I would imagine the rest...

    Front tow hooks

They are handy to have. I've used mine more than I ever expected. Hell, I used them to pull the truck around when the fuel pump went out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Front tow hooks

I would call a used parts dealer or look in a you pick yard. I wouldn't think they would be too hard to find, and used ones wouldn't hurt anything at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    limited slip?

I don't know where to find one. Mine came with limited slip and 3.92 gears. I love them. Launches hard. On a well prepped track, no wheel spin at all. Just hooks and goes. If you you get it done, you will love it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
