The 8.4 UConnect radios do not require the steering wheel audio controls. Those controls are standard with RAMS that have the leather steering wheel. When going with the OEM 8.4 in the Express consider only if you do or not have automatic temperature controls. If manual controlled HVAC, just...
Please be careful. Those radios mount slightly, yet, significantly differently. You'll need to modify the radio frame by grinding off the top aluminum tab and remove two tabs from the radio bezel to make it fit. The wiring harnesses work.
The BIG problem....I tried a 2017 Chrysler 200 in...
Yeah, there are a couple connections under the main fuse box (TIPM) that need to be soldered in. Just a note if or when you decide to upgrade to the 8.4 radio it'll be plug and play for the camera. Once the computer is flashed you are set.
Back Up Cam
I started my first mod doing just this. I did however, just let the dealer do the install so they could flash the computer at the same time. This is a well spent item.
Once again, so glad I posted this and asked. Of course, you're right. The mirrors I was looking at did not do the power fold even though the eBay seller insisted along with 1aauto.com that the part numbers I provided had that feature.
I've bought new Kool Vue aftermarket that are power...
Great!
Did the same on my '16 Ram 1500 Express. You're absolutely correct in that the sound is very fine. Mine came with the voice control. So, it was easy to install with the conversion harness. The voice command works very well with this radio. ENJOY!

I've read all the frequent posts. So at now some 6 or so days later and with a Holiday upcoming tomorrow, what has happened for you? A resolution? Or lawsuit for lemon law?
Just got to know.
Progress
I've acquired a pair of 2016 power folding mirrors for my RAM. I also obtained the DPDT 30 amp switch from Amazon. Now I see that these mirrors have different color wires from what was described here earlier in this thread. I've searched for, and I think I found the right wiring...
Great Information
Looks like what I'd try to do is a standalone system utilizing the mirror switch I saw for folding the mirrors. Then use a double relay system as with the door locks for open and fold. Even considered finding a mirror switch that I could mount on the dash if I am ambitious...
Thanks, RLK for this information. I also forgot to mention I added the Upper Glove Box and a glove box light. Sure enhances that good looking dash. I'll be searching for a good buy on that shorty antenna as well.:favorites13:
Please see newest post titled "PROGRESS". THANKS!!
After doing a bunch of mods to my truck I have one issue in that I only have manual side mirrors. Since I put my truck in the one car stall in my garage as it is the deepest, I must get out and fold the passenger side mirror in before...
