    Ball Joints After 42K miles?

Thanks! I am from Baton Rouge actually, but after 28 years in the military, we settled in Houma (Bayou Blue/Gray actually). I wouldn't do well in a big(ish) city. I've done some front end work before, I hear it is easier and cost effective to change the entire control arm in this model. Sort...

    Ball Joints After 42K miles?

Yea, I always thought the same thing about Bilstiens, In my earlier years, I used them on every classic Mercedes I had and never had to do it twice. But there was the oily residue on one of them. So since I am heading up to TN next week to take care of mom, I don't have the time to order the...

    Ball Joints After 42K miles?

It's all stock and no off-roading, but some of the roads down here are real crap. I installed four Bilstein shocks about 65K miles ago. In addition to the ball-joints and tie rod ends, they said it needed shocks and one of them appeared to be leaking. That part was correct, so I stopped and...

    Ball Joints After 42K miles?

Folks, On my 2008 1500 4.7L, Reg Cab SLT, 42K miles ago during a tire purchase, the local Goodyear Car Care Center (whom I used to trust) changed all four front ball joints and tie rods ends, an axle and drive shaft u-joints. Now 42K miles later they tell me that they cannot do the alignment...

    2008 Driver’s Seat-Back Stuck ATW Forward

All the motors work fine and the seat bottom goes up, down, forward and aft. It’s the manual recline control (lever, rod, ratchet assy) for the seat back that’s malfunctioned. I’ll take a look at Geno’s Garage for a base frame.

    2008 Driver’s Seat-Back Stuck ATW Forward

The ratchet device for the seat-back has malfunctioned leaving the seat-back all the way forward, which makes it non-usable. I have since switched seats and put the passenger seat on the driver’s side. Dealer was no help. Is this fixable or do I need to find a 3rd Gen driver’s power seat...

What shock replaces STOCK with same smooth ride

I did shocks a couple year ago on my 2008 Ram1500 at 120K. I bought it at 107K miles and the ride was pretty bumpy. Went with Bilstiens all around and man, what a difference. Still feels great at 150k miles.

    Mileage on your 3rd Gen.?

2008 RAM 1500 4.7L Reg Cab - 131,413. Paind $6,500 and it's been 1.5 years and 25K miles and doing great. I've replaced all shocks with Bilsteins, which was a major improvement and the ragged seat covers with Katskinz leathers.

    Mileage on your 3rd Gen.?

Just hit 113K on my 2008 1500 single cab I picked up in Nov. Loving it!

What did you do to your Gen3 today?

Six months ago, I gave $6,500 for this 2008 1500 single cab with 112K miles. It's in excellent shape and I have changed every fluid and filter save for the rear end oil. The only downfalls was a crappy ride a dinged up bed and a really crappy (smelly) driver's seat. So, I figured I got a...
