Thanks! Great info and pics right there @kpd12. So it seems I would need 3 & 4 as the main brackets for my reinforcement bar for sure, and 5 would be used as brace supports for the ends of the bumper. Now, seeing as my website only lists #5 as "left side" and no right side, for the outer braces... -

Thanks for all of the info guys, but it did end up being the driver's side door ajar button. I performed one last inspection sweep starting with the simplest possibility and working inward, and I went straight to the driver's side door ajar button and pressed it fully in and about 20 seconds... -

Success in the junkyard! I found the missing connector from the two exposed wires and it's a match. Pulled it from a 2001 Ram 1500 "power outlet". That answers half of my question. I don't have a multimeter available right now, but I'll hit it with the ole' test light after work just to see what's drawing current and if either of the wires are constant - the two exposed wires should only be drawing current with the key "on" if that really is for the upper "power outlet"...- eSCAPEist

Thanks for a quick reply. Yeah, my fog lights work fine. My fog button is located in the same spot as the passenger air bag switch and there seems to be a nearly identical red connector for the fogs, but it's plugged in and working. These wires are coming from behind the power outlet above that?- eSCAPEist

@Merc225hp You da' man. Now I'm currently researching all kinds of problems and info on this "Central Timing Module" mystery box - it sounds like a very likely suspect, as other sad souls 98+ symptoms seem very similar that I am reading. As for you other guys, thanks for the input as well... -
