    Why the hate?

I hate Chrysler. They were so "evil" in the 80's and 90's with the crap they popped out, so it tainted my view of Dodge period. (unless you talk pre 80) I bought a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 SLT about 7-8 years back, though, because it was a good deal and haven't looked back. The fuel economy...

1/2 or 3/4 ton tow vehicle vehicle for 6000k camper. female friend new to towing

I have a 2004 Ram 5.7 with 3.55 gears. Our TT is 28’ and I am planning to swap to a 2007 2500 diesel to tow. Biggest issue with my truck is the 3.55 gears. Great for DD, but when I’m towing in wind or up hills I can feel the truck working. Would be okay to live with, but I think it’s just hard...

Bought truck and 3 days later, engine needs replacing

A New vehicle's engine is normally broke in at factory... you don't have to worry about those. But I still baby it for 500 miles and then do an oil change.

Breaking in an engine is basically mostly about setting the rings. Don't floor the pedal. You should vary the speed for 500-1000 miles (RPM being key), taking it up the scale to high RPM (under 4000), then low, etc. Basically, take it through it's driving range, but avoid staying at a constant...

    Permanent Seat Repair DIY

Just bought my 04 and it has exact hole as yours has. The 2000-2004 Tundras have the same issue (slightly different location) and most of it comes from the "climb-in". You could also put a 1/8 - 1/4" layer of tyrelene (cheap stuff) that's more of a fibre between the foam and steel just to help...

    First. Dodge. Ever. (new member)

Thank you! I have a lot of reading to do, but so far, it looks like I will be replacing the exhaust system from the manifold back. Not sure if I would benefit from splitting the exhaust to a twin pipe exit. Do these engines benefit from increasing exhaust flow? ahh... Im getting ahead of...

Hello! Just bought a 2004 Dodge Ram Quadcab SLT 5.7 L Hemi. Just joined and reading all the info here. Great site. No plans on lifting the truck, just fixing everything the previous owner deemed unworthy of notice and trying to get it to be a solid runner. Gotta say.. the 5.7l Hemi seems to...
