    What did you do to/with your second gen today?

    Sadly I sold my 01 yesterday. Think the headgasket started going, overflow bottle filled up with oil pretty quickly. Took it to the dodge dealer and walked out a few hours later with a Kia Soul 2.0 6 speed manual. I miss my truck, but I'm enjoying 30 mpg and banging gears again.

    I'm actually removing the factory charging wire and replacing it with 1/0 AWG with its own 250amp fuse just for the alternator itself. I'd never dream of increasing a fuse size without upgrading the wiring, i did that when i was 18 on my old silverado and spent the evening relooming the dash...

    You're better off swapping to a cummins, the trans will bolt up, but you will need a diesel torque converter I believe.

    Help with headlight problems

    Your headlights are always going to be hot on the B+ side. Dodge likes to switch things on using the ground wire. Was a pain when i tried figuring out how to wire up OEM fog lights with an OEM head/fog combo switch in a truck without the fog light option lol.

    99 with 35's and a 2.5" level kit?

    Go 255/85/16 its a 33x10.5 tire. I have them on a set of Ultra 164's with 4.5" backspacing and i have no rub at all. Tires stick out about 1.5" though. Plus, these won't destroy the little dana 44 i have up front lol.

    speedometer

    Doesn't the speedometer signal come from the rear differential on our trucks? I know on mine it does as I had a 46RH transmission in my 01 when i first got it, no cable hooked up, but my speedometer still worked.

    bought a camper shell off of my truck's twin from a junkyard about 2 hours from me. Going monday to pick it up, hopefully picking up a new radio dash bezel as well so I can start fiberglassing a 10" tablet into the dash.
