Yes I am using my factory amp, possibly my head unit built in amp as well I don't know how my wiring worked out(I think it is all through factory) I do have a write up of the head unit I installed on here as well which was a double din and needed some cutting to fit. If you wanted to not run new...
I am trying to watch movies on my Kenwood DDX470 and nothing I burn is playing correctly. Is there a specific program or settings I am supposed to use to make them work? I use ConvertXtoDVD to encode all my movies and it has worked for every DVD player I threw them in except for the one in my...
Now for me I ended up just cutting off the ends of my adapter for factory plugs and stripping them and using twist caps to connect them to the 1st and 2nd stereo wires on the left coming from the crossover box(be sure to know which is positive and which is negative. Black is negative on the...
Edit: should be 6.5" speakers in subject line. The speakers I got are listed at 6" but fit 6.5" so I don't know why they are listed at 6"
Alright so I just did my install on my new head unit and there is the DIY posted here as well...
I tried to see if it fit without cutting it and it didn't. Needed to cut it for it to expand open. The back end wouldn't squeeze in at all. Maybe if you just cut the top lip off it might have fit but I didn't try that.
The PAC audio connector did have another connection for steering wheel controls. You have to buy it separately though and I just didn't need it. Also yeah I could have used solder but again I am a newbie to this and it is my first install on anything and I don't have a solder gun. The caps did...
I am now putting the new stereo in. First connect the microphone to the back of the stereo
Now connect the satellite antenna to the satellite tuner box. It is not a secure fit so I used a red zip tie and wrapped it around the cord then used 2 green zip ties and wrapped it around the box on...
Alright so I am going to start off by saying I have never installed anything on any car or truck ever and I never asked anyone what to do or how to do it other than a couple posts on this forum. I seen some smaller write ups on what to do here and there that I pieced together to figure it out...
He has the full replacement projectors with HID's for about $750 but he also has HID's for your stock headlight enclosures for about $160. I am more tempted just to get them for my stock headlights but they are probably illegal. Is there just a standard brighter bulb I can use that would be...
Has anyone tried these?

I am looking into upgrading my headlights because they so dim at night and I do a lot of highway driving in deer country. Are these an upgrade over the stock headlights? Anyone...
Ya I will do all my installs and see how it sounds. If it is doing something that bothers me I will wrap them up and zip tie them tight against something. Taking apart the doors was actually the very easy part for me. The wiring is more time consuming. I am hopefully going to have a full day...
Alright I am a ******* and never used the pilot bit lmao. The main problem I had was that there was no hole saw that was the size I needed (1 5/8 inches) so I had to use the only one I found which had a larger chuck that wouldn't fit into my drill so I used like 2 adapters and used a socket to...
Hmmm well the hole saw does cut through but it spins a lot and wants to jump around because the teeth are so jagged. I don't want to create more hole than I need. I think I will go with the dremel. I haven't bought one before but I think it will be used enough to justify buying one right now.
