RAM Mount w/ adhesive for the cell phone?

And here I am at nearly three years since installing the Scoche mount and it is still in place and solid holding my Samsung Galaxy S10+ every day. I don't believe the brand of mount really matters much, but it's more about using the cleaning process and making sure to use the adhesion promoter.

    2014 Tailgate Dropping. Anyone Else?

The primary reason we (at the dealership) can't sell recall parts is most all of them are restricted and we can only purchase a small number of parts on a weekly basis. Some even require entering a VIN for the vehicle to be repaired before we can order a part for it. In most cases, we have need...

Automatic Door Locks Will Unlock, but Won't Lock

No, replacing the BCM is the only way to fix this. The dealership diagnostics (for whatever reason) lead in the wrong direction every time.

    hard folding cover

I have the BakFlip, and, while I really like it, it also requires the tailgate be closed before the last panel. The other issue with it is the weight...it's VERY HEAVY! if you are not in the bed of the truck or have someone helping from the other side on the ground, it is impossible to fold it...

Automatic Door Locks Will Unlock, but Won't Lock

That is the correct part number, but you cannot just change it yourself as it does require programming at the dealership.

RAM Mount w/ adhesive for the cell phone?

I have had this Scosche model mounted in the same place you are talking about for nearly 7 months now in FL and it is still solid. I have since purchased 2 more for other vehicles. You MUST FOLLOW INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS to get them to stay. Clean the area with alcohol first, then apply...

    Large Recall for Cruise Control

So far it appears to be software. There is a fix for the '14 - '18 Journey out already in recall U49, but no others have been made available to this point.

    Large Recall for Cruise Control

EXACTLY! Do not come running to the dealership about the cruise control issue as you will be met with disappointment. If you have an affected vehicle, you will get a letter in the mail notifying you about it. Once a fix is available, you will get another letter telling you it is time to have...

Automatic Door Locks Will Unlock, but Won't Lock

That is the correct part# for the module, and yes, there is programming required by the dealership for it to work as the module is generic and needs to be setup for your truck.

    synthetic oil question

I have been running extended intervals in all my vehicles, gas and diesel, for years with AMSOIL and have had no issues....yes...15-20K oil changes. People need to get past the old fashioned thinking and realize technology has passed that type of thinking long ago. Here is an interesting video...

Chrysler the new Prince of Darkness

The problem is most likely the TIPM. We replace more of those than any other component mentioned here...although these trucks have been known for BCM issues as well. I just replaced the BCM in my truck for door lock issues. I have VERY rarely ever seen a light sensor be a problem on our trucks...

6.4 or 6.7 for the next truck?

I am 100% on the side of diesels for any towing/hauling situation, BUT...I REALLY WANT TO KNOW how you get that kind of mileage out of a 6.7L 4x4 when I [and everyone I know] can't get close to that. I get 15-15.5 around town and 18-19 empty highway.

    3.55 to 3.92 gearing

3.55 to 3.92 is in no way worth the change. I have re-geared many vehicles including two of my previous RAM trucks and going to a lower gear is not worth the change unless you are at least 15% lower. In this case, the 4.10 would be almost exactly 15% lower and a good change for daily driving and...

Making simple upgrades while under warranty without voiding it...

You took it correctly...doing mods CANNOT void any warranty in it's entirety just because you do it, but at the point of an issue it can allow the dealer to refuse coverage of individual issues as they occur.
