    Tire pressure

I do have the tire pressure screen and have been checking it constantly on cold mornings. I upped the cold pressures to 66 front 64 rear and like the way it rides better than 62/60. After some highway driving they show 71/69. I guess TPIS it is.

    Tire pressure

I've had two 2017 3500s. My previous one the low pressure light world come on for the rears the second it dropped below 65 psi. My current 3500 the pressure has been as low as 58 psi and no light. Any idea why?

    Tires...

Had Cooper AT3 XLT 285/65R20s for about 3K miles. They were great. Lost a little acceleration & about 1.5 mpg but they were quiet, smooth and looked great. Now going thru this again but with 18" rims. Leaning towards stock size for maintaining power & mpg. The stock tires are so light (49-50...

Question about rear end and towing

One word...payload. And the 3.42 still pulls like a freight train. A 4.10 in the diesel would be a monster but hamper mileage and your wallet at the same time because the Aisin is definitely needed for it. That's another $2600. I think there's a 3.73 option for the Aisin as well, but that...

    6.4 Hemi overall experiences?

This was my experience with 6.4 and 3.73s. I'd pull out from dead stop on a slight grade and first gear would wind up to 30mph pretty well but then drop to 2nd and would never regain any momentum or acceleration. Granted this is with a 10K 5'er and 4 passengers, but still that 1- 2 gap is...

    6.4 Hemi overall experiences?

Ugh I'm now in the market for a new Ram HD. Had a '15 2500 Crew 6.4L w/3.73 gears that was great unloaded, but not too great towing my 10K 5th wheel. Moved up to a '17 3500 CTD that was fantastic until it got totaled the other day. Front end looks just like Maddogs :( In my search for a new...

Buying Tires This Week - Looking for advice/ Testimonials

I'm getting the new Cooper AT3 XLT 275/65R20 E-load tires installed tomorrow. They have very aggressive sidewall tread design, but are supposed to be low noise and 60K mile warranty. And they have a strengthened sidewall design for heavy towing. I'll post up pics once installed. Added...

    Maintenance Pkg

Thanks. It's an FCA service pkg that covers 5 years/60K miles worth of services. The service dealer I use printed out a schedule that started at 7500 miles. I just didn't want charged for an early service if I take it in now at 7500 miles.

    Maintenance Pkg

What's the skinny on the maintenance package for Ram diesels? Is it 7500 miles intervals or 15K? My dash computer says I'm at 50% for fuel filter and oil life, but the dealer printed out a sheet that showed 7500 mile service intervals. I'm at 7200 miles. He said I could look up the...

Bummed out!! Truck can't tow what I need her to.

Very true they all have issues. I've had a couple of minor ones that I fixed myself and one at that dealer (but could have fixed myself). Most issues are gonna be with the Lippert (LCI) junk or the appliances which are all covered under the individual 90-day or 1-yr manufacturer warranties...

Never though I would... but I bought a new Cummins

Great minds think alike...well almost (I couldn't afford the Laramie but my BH is just fine with me). Congrats my friend. Had my 3500 CTD Sport Crew since May and loving it. Not quite the same off the line pep as the 6.4, but it does move on down the road just fine. The towing experience & at...

Bummed out!! Truck can't tow what I need her to.

B&W Hitches are the way to go. Airbags are very helpful too. The CTD can pull just about anything. Just be mindful that the manufacturer listed pin weight for 5th wheels are very, very optimistic. For a 5'er the size you want, I would add at least 300-400 lbs to that number before its even...

How much 5th wheel can I haul

Don't shy away from the 3500's as a daily driver. I went from a 2500 to a 3500 and the ride difference is negligible, unless of course you regularly drive on fire roads or live in pothole city. Now loaded down with the 5'er...hands down the 3500 wins in my book. Around town I personally...
