Did you ever get this fixed?? My 2021 rebel has been doing that exact same thing with 3rd gear into 4th but only once when I first drive out of the driveway in the morning… seems worse when it sits for a day or 2.. now today it just threw a “service transmission” message and the check engine...
Great write up!
I did mine last week as well with redline oils. Truck was at 34k on original fluids and it looked pretty darn clean. I also inspected for metal debris and found little to nothing. I do lighter towing/hauling every once in a while.
For you guys with outdoorsman models the...
Yep, just take the grill off, handful of fasteners and then just pop it out of the grill. Easy-peasy. I switched all of the emblems on my truck to black. Looks much better IMO.
I went with the S&B intake. I also have single exhaust with muffled 18" and deleted the resonator. I added the intake after I had modified the exhaust. If I floor it I can hear the difference the I take makes. Not sure if I noticed much of a difference with the I take to be honest.
Yeah these are the OEM (p275/60r20) size if you have the 20" wheels. I also had the cooper AT3s on my 2008 ram some time ago and liked those as well. And a pair of cooper STs on a 99 ram I had even longer ago. Those also held up good. I've seemed to have good luck with coopers so I figured...
Well I unexpectedly had to get a new tire today. The tread was worn quite a bit on the rest of the crappy OEM Goodyear wrangler SR-As that came on the truck. It looked like a piece of the tread fell off at some point recently and the thinner area was punctured on the drive to work this...
My 2014 outdoorsman with 20" wheels and stock tires appears to sit the same height as other 4x4 1500s and then it makes me want to level the damn thing!
So this is odd, the top is a pic I took of the owners manual that came with my truck, and, the bottom is one from the online ram website for a '14 ram 1500/2500/3500. For 1500 they both appear to say 75w85 for front axle, but for 2500/3500 one says 75w85 and the other says 75w90. I wonder if...
hmm thats odd, i wonder if they have different front ends or something? mine def says 75w85 i double checked after i read your post just to be sure. i do have the 3.92 gears maybe the different ratios call out for something different?
i only got 2qts for the front i wonder if i should order...
Hey guys,
i'm sure this subject and question have been beaten to hell and back, but i have failed to satisfy myself with info on the quantity of oil required for changing the differential gear oils.
now i know what types of oil i need per the owners manual. i have an anti-spin diff. one...
great combo! great choice! i have the same setup for about a year now. except on my outdoorsman i have the single pipe exhaust with a deleted resonator, which most people seem to have the duals. sounds great!
thanks for all the input fellas.
for now with the money i have to spend, (saved about 700 from NOT being put under to get my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday) i was wanting to get the S&B intake with the 87mm TB on moes website. I already have a mufflex exhaust with a resonator delete, as well...
